Something IMPORTANT to be aware of: The output shaft is connected to the final gear by a cup-washer, operating as a friction clutch. This protects the gears from damage, and is used in the homing cycle in air conditioners (which is what these motors were made for). The results of these tests depend on what point the friction clutch slips, not the torque of the motor; they will not be consistent. I have tried pinning the shaft to the final gear... don't waste your time; it was time-consuming, fiddly, frustrating, and ultimately pointless. All I achieved was that I removed the overtorque protection from the gearbox, and it destroyed itself! Good fun motors to learn with though!

Why there is play in lm8uu based linear rail , I measure the diameter of different roads all diameter is less than 8mm it's around 7.6 to 7.8 mm is it common tolorance or perfect 8mm rods are also available??

You can just leave out the red wire and connect the other wires to some bipolar driver. It works in bi-polar mode. No need to hack anything.

just use normal stepper driver like drv8825, dont need to cut the pcb, and wire only the coil wires

So I have the same lock that I needed to pick , pull on the lock and turn the wheels , when you feel resistance to change number force it one more turn you will feel a click, the true gate is 2 numbers clockwise from that click. Eg when you turn 1 to 2 and it’s hard to turn and you feel a click the unlock number is 4

but the 28 byj-48 has a frequency limit of 100 hz or 10 ms when testing with less, these are outside the manufacturer's recommendations, in addition to losing a lot of torque due to the speed at which you are forcing it to turn

If you connect xl,xr to 5 and 0 volt it will make a voltage divider between xr and xl and we have two resistance between xr and xl on the point of touching and the same time we have for yD and yu a difference resistance between yu and yD . The question is : when you applied a 5 volt on xr and xl you measure voltage difference between yu and yD or measuring voltage difference between yu and xl ? u = up D=down l=left r=right

im using a4988 driver with 12v input and it can lift 140gr at 10cm or about 1.4kg/cm. i add 10gr more weight and i manage to break the gearbox inside the motor i think i could spin it faster and add an external gearbox for more load.
